Just wanted to drop by today and make sure you know about the Virginia Festival of the Book (vabook.org), especially our romance track “Love Fest”! We gather fabulous romance authors together in Charlottesville every March. For 2017 the event will take place March 22-26. Below I have separate info for readers and authors, but everyone can help us decide how to make the very best event. Feel free to comment on who YOU would like to see at #VaLoveFest17!
For readers:
We typically have three romance panels, plus an event where you can chat with your favorite authors and pick up autographed copies of their books. Last year included a screening of “Love Between the Covers” hosted by Eloisa James and Maya Rodale. What would you like to see in 2017? This is the last week to submit your application or panel idea! Make sure to apply now! Downtown Charlottesville is lovely in the Spring, and the festival runs panels about the publishing industry, mystery, and many other topics concurrent to ours, so there will be plenty to do when you aren’t on stage. If you haven’t been here before, Charlottesville is a very ‘bookish’ town and the festival draws tons of attendees from across the state.
