I’m happy to be on Celebrate with a Book. I’m Beverly Ovalle. I’ve dabbled in writing my whole life. I know, my mom unearthed some angsty pre-teen poetry that I had totally forgot about. I continued in High School having to choose between track and creative writing. 

Writing won, lol. Graduating, I joined the Navy and my writing became just scribbles. I was too busy to even think about it.

Years later, many, many years later, I started writing again. I was a firm romance reader, devouring anything and everything. I would write continuations of the stories I loved, not wanting to see them end. Then I began once again creating my own stories, my imagination fired by the stories I loved. Of course, I never did anything about it. I tossed most of them in the trash. Then my best friend called and challenged (okay, dared) me to enter a writing contest. She figured I had something laying around that I could use. She was right.

I didn’t win. That contest or the next, or even the next, lol. But I was offered a contract, then another. Now I am a hybrid author, publishing with Boroughs Publishing Groups, Ardent Books and recently going independent. I write contemporary, military and paranormal romance, leaning heavily toward Dragon shifters.

My newest release is A Sailor’s Delight, a contemporary military romance. It is $3.99 and through October, 25% of all ebook proceeds will be donated to Pets for Vets, www.petsforvets.com. A wonderful organization that matches veterans in need with trained service dogs rescued from the pound.

Beverly has been obsessed with dragons and romance since she was a young girl, collecting dragon books and reading everything she could find on them even down to the care of real life dragons. She’s always been slightly panicked that the world as we know it will end, so has prepped for it, haunting survivalist pages and prepper projects she felt she needed in the event SHTF.

An avid fan of all romance, her goal is to share her love of the written word and write the hot and erotic romances that she enjoys. She writes what she loves to read and it was only a matter of time before her obsessions crept into her writing for her to share. She hopes you enjoy her tales as much as she loves writing them.

A Navy Veteran, Beverly has traveled around the world and the United States enabling her to bring her settings to life, meeting and marrying her husband of twenty five years along the way for her own romance. Reading romances since the fourth grade she’s followed as the genre changed and spread into the vast cornucopia of romance offered today.
