Rip Cord: The Weekend by Jeanne St. James

Geek extraordinaire Gil Davis hooked up with his long-time crush Rip Cord, the Bad Boy of the NFL, during their tenth year class reunion. It was a dream come true for Gil, so when Rip surprises Gil with a trip to the pro football player’s cabin on the lake two weeks later, Gil looks forward to their weekend alone. Since Rip is still deep in the closet due to his career, Gil will take any stolen moments they have. Little does Gil know, those moments will be filled with a blindfold and ropes, as well as a bad tumble down the mountain.

But a few bumps and bruises won’t stop Gil from spending precious time with Rip and his toys. However when the weekend ends, will Rip disappear again? Or will Rip want to take their relationship to the next level?

“Relax. Trust me.” The bed tilted under Rip’s weight as he climbed on and straddled Gil’s waist. “I want to give you a massage. It’ll help with your stiff muscles.”

Rip squirted what felt similar to baby oil onto Gil’s back, and as he rubbed it into his skin, Gil relaxed. Rip’s hands were perfect for a massage. They were broad and his fingers were long and strong.

Gil groaned in pleasure as Rip swirled the oil around his back, warming it up as he worked the skin under his palms. He massaged Gil’s shoulders with his thumbs and then the base of his neck, the top of his spine, and down the tight muscles that ran along his spine.

Gil’s breathing deepened, and he closed his eyes, enjoying the feel of his muscles being rubbed, Rip working the small of his back with his knuckles.

“How do you know to do this so well?”

“I get massages all the time because of football. Some are relaxing, but I pay attention to what the therapists are doing too. Though when it’s a deep-tissue massage, I’m usually holding back the screams. The therapists dig and work out knots, which can be very painful. Still, it’s worth it afterward.”

“No deep tissue, okay?”

Rip’s body shook as he chuckled. “No deep tissue today. But I can feel how tight the small of your back is.” He shifted down to straddle Gil’s thighs.

Note: Rip Cord: The Weekend (Rip Cord, Book 2) has been combined into one release with book 1 Rip Cord: The Reunion (which was previously published with another publisher). The third book in the series, Rip Cord: The Ever After will release on November 15th.
