Today we are happy to welcome author-entrepreneur Lindsey Loucks to the blog. We also have a giveaway, so don’t miss out. Welcome, Lindsey!
I’ll skip to the middle of my author/entrepreneur origin story since the beginning is fairly typical—I love sniffing, reading, and writing books. Yep. Typical.
So the middle is actually a shout-out to Entangled Publishing where I learned to hone my reading skills and magically turn them into editing skills. I interned for them for about a year, and most of the internship was reading through the slush pile of submissions and writing up reports detailing strengths and weaknesses.
Then I worked as a proofreader for Entangled and learned a great deal about the Chicago Manual of Style, the stylebook adopted by most publishers today. My freelance editing business was blowing up around that same time, so I had to leave Entangled, but I learned a ton. Now I edit for a bunch of amazing authors who trust me with their books.
Since I know how much work goes into writing a book, editing for them is quite an honor.
Thank you so much Lindsey for stopping by. Here is the blurb for her latest release, Wicked Me.
